We are an independent fire safety and engineering consulting firm based in Manchester but operating nationwide. We can deliver tailored and integrated fire engineering services. These include the identification of risks and opportunities for each project, but also the production of safe, robust, cost effective and sustainable fire design solutions.
 
AM Pyro LTD conducts business in a sustainable and ethical way. Furthermore, it actively supports two charity organisations: Make a wish Foundation UK and Save the Children.
 

Athanasios has over 20 years of consulting and research experience in the field of fire engineering with significant involvement in various types of projects and research activities in the UK and abroad. His research on the fire behaviour and modelling of reinforced concrete columns in real buildings led to the PhD qualification from The University of Manchester. Athanasios is a visiting Lecturer at the School of Engineering - University of Bradford.

During his consulting career, Athanasios has provided fire safety advice, fire risk assessments, third party reviews, fire and management strategies to major UK and International contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, Morgan Sindall, Willmott Dixon, Jacobs UK Ltd, Balfour Beatty, BAM Construction, Kier, ARJ Construction, Beaumont Morgan and Wates Construction.

Athanasios has served public, private, commercial and corporate clients such as Urenco, GSK Plc, EDF Energy, Saudi ARAMCO, NHS, Manchester City Council, The Foreign Commonwealth Office, Salford City Council, Spar, University of Salford, Akzo Nobel and Capita Plc.

Athanasios is registered Chartered Engineer with the UK Engineering Council and holds memberships with the Institution of Fire Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
